High Tea

High Tea today
I spent a lovely morning with my Aunty, Cousin and Niece at Alfresco Emporium having high tea for my Aunty's belated birthday. It's a long story why it is belated, but all is well now and we hope for a very long time to come. Thanks for a yummy day ladies.

Manly Dam

A day outdoors with the kids was so much fun, just us, our little family, chatting, chasing, laughing and playing. I want to do it all again tomorrow.

Three small watercolours.

Three new watercolours
I finished these from the other day. Watercolour on paper, A5 size.

It's another sunny day.

After taking my little boy to Kindy, my big boy and I decided to go for a walk on the beach, it's another beautiful day!

A few days at our country house.

It's always a wonderful getaway when we drive up to my sisters home in the Hunter Valley. Leaving the craziness of the Northern Beaches is a great feeling. It's week 2 of the school holidays and the kids and I needed a trip to the Harvey's farm.

It's so peaceful, the air is cleaner and there are kangaroos outside the door every morning, what more could you want? I love spending time with my sister. We are SO much alike yet SO different. Seeing her gorgeous quilts in person makes me happy.

The kids all have so much fun together and her lovely husband Paul always lights up a small fire in the evening so we can all roast marshmallows, what a nice guy! Thanks for having us guys. We will be back. Xoxo

School holiday fun.

A corner of my studio this morning. I'm not getting much done while the kids are on school holidays, just little bits here and there. I'm enjoying their company most of the time, it's our first school holidays at home in over a year and it feels strangely good.
I need new paint brushes, I'm not sure I want to take the kids to the Art Shop though, only a week until I can go alone, I think I will wait.

Marble run.
Look what my boy just made, so cute.

My sweet boy made this cute dinosaur out of modeling clay, I think it's gorgeous. He concentrated for ages, that's a huge effort for him. I love you L.

No waves today. A glorious day here.

I feel very lucky living in this beautiful place, what amazing inspiration for my art. On such a gorgeous day, I only want to be outside. I am sad that summer is almost over. Hopefully we have a lot more days like today before it gets cold.

Happy Easter

My lovely husband is back in the country but completely jet lagged and just wants to sleep the whole long weekend. The weather isn't bad, but it is cooling down. The kids are playing with all the goodies that he bought home and I am happy having a flick through some lovely are books he bought home for me - David Hockney as well as The Tate Modern Catalogue. I LOVE ART BOOKS!!! I am especially loving the Hockney, I have been a fan for almost 25 years! Happy Easter to you and your family.

...I have 3 smaller paintings underway, here is a little sneak peak of the first. The other two photos are just some random shots from yesterday. My dried paint bits are always fun to pick off my palette and the bottom photo, the kids told me looks like a dolphin - I agree!

Underwater Paradise

Finished a painting today. Lots of hours spent on this one.

Almost finished this painting. I have some tweaking to do, there is a small area in the centre that I am unhappy with. I'm still juggling time with the kids and time in my studio but things are working out at the moment. My next couple of small ones have been started. My lovely husband is in Europe for two weeks so I have all the time in the world to paint. The house is untidy, but I don't mind one little bit.
