Its funny how a collection begins. You pick up one or two things at the beach or on a walk and suddenly (a couple of months later), you have this little collection of mostly lovely, sometimes ugly things to look at ( and in my case, to draw). This collection of sea lovelies below were all bought from a local shop, sand dollars and mini starfish.
After looking around in Luca's favourite places to keep stuff, I came across his little collections. I grouped them below to show you.
Quite a few cicada shells collected on his first or second day at school, shells and driftwood from beaches here and there, a (rat?) skull from in the backyard and some smooth stones. He has a fascination with anything scientific, I love how he looks at things, so innocent.
